Authentication isn't just a checkbox for us — it's the foundation of everything we do. Our team inspects every item before it goes live. We check labels, stitching, hardware, materials, date codes, serial numbers, and overall construction against known authentic examples.
If something doesn't pass, it doesn't get listed. It's that simple.

How do you know a pre-owned designer bag is real?
Bags at Now From Then are authenticated with Entrupy, a microscopic-imaging system that compares the material structure of a bag against a reference database and reports 99.1% accuracy. Bags that pass carry the verification mark on their listing. It's a physical test of the object, not a judgement call about a photograph.
Is everything you sell authenticated, or only the bags?
Every piece is inspected in-house before it lists — labels, stitching, hardware, materials, date codes and overall construction, checked against known authentic examples. If it doesn't pass, it doesn't get listed. Entrupy verification is an additional layer specific to bags, and where it has been done it is marked on that listing. We don't claim Entrupy on clothing, because we don't run it on clothing.
What happens if something turns out not to be authentic?
You get a full refund, no questions asked. That is the guarantee on every item we list. If you have any doubt about a piece you've bought, message us on WhatsApp and we'll resolve it.
Why is buying pre-owned luxury in Hong Kong risky, and how is this different?
Hong Kong has a deep secondhand market and a counterfeit problem alongside it, so the honest answer is that the risk is real and the burden is on the seller to prove otherwise. Our answer is a four-step process: physical inspection on arrival, authentication against known references, an Entrupy scan on eligible bags, and only then photography and listing. Every listing shows labels, hardware, stitching and any signs of wear. And if we ever get it wrong, the refund is unconditional.
Can I ask questions about a specific piece before buying?
