About
The archive-and-avant shelf. Sacai splices, Rick drape, Junya patchwork, Yohji volume — pre-loved menswear that was ahead of its season then and still is. Authenticated, photographed properly, and priced to actually leave the shop. Wear the interesting stuff.
Now From Then is a luxury secondhand boutique in Hong Kong, and menswear is a core category here rather than a back rail — around 400 pieces at any time. The rack runs from Japanese archive and avant-garde — Sacai, Junya Watanabe, Yohji Yamamoto, Comme des Garçons, Undercover, Issey Miyake, White Mountaineering — through Rick Owens and Dries Van Noten, to house tailoring from Louis Vuitton, Dior, Gucci and Alexander McQueen.
Every piece is one of one. Single unit, pre-loved, no restock — when it's gone it's gone. Condition is graded and stated on every listing, from Never Worn through Excellent, Good and Fair, with the flaws photographed rather than described around. Sizes are listed in EU/IT with UK and US chest and waist conversions, and JP sizing where the piece is Japanese — those cuts run small against Western sizing, so exact garment measurements are on request and they beat the label every time.
We ship internationally from Hong Kong. Anything you want to know before you commit — measurements, more angles, how a shoulder actually sits — comes back over WhatsApp. Nobody gets turned away for asking.

Where can I buy pre-owned designer menswear in Hong Kong?
At Now From Then. We're a luxury secondhand boutique based in Hong Kong carrying around 400 menswear pieces at any time — Japanese archive and avant-garde labels like Sacai, Junya Watanabe, Yohji Yamamoto and Comme des Garçons, alongside Rick Owens, Dries Van Noten and house tailoring from Louis Vuitton, Dior and Gucci. Everything is pre-loved, authenticated and shipped internationally from Hong Kong.
What sizes does the menswear come in, and how do the conversions work?
Sizes are listed in EU/IT with UK and US chest and waist conversions: 44 is XS, 46 S, 48 M, 50 L, 52 XL, 54 XXL, 56 XXXL. Japanese labels are also listed in JP sizing, where 0 is XS through to 5 for XXL. Japanese cuts run small against Western sizing, so exact garment measurements are available on request and always take precedence over the label.
How do I know the condition of a pre-loved piece before I buy?
Every listing carries a stated condition grade — Never Worn, Excellent, Good, Fair or Vintage — and the photographs show the piece as it actually is, flaws included. If anything is unclear, message us on WhatsApp and we'll send more angles or measure the specific point you're worried about.
Is the menswear authenticated?
Yes. Every piece is checked in-house against construction, labelling and hardware before it lists. Bags are additionally verified with Entrupy, which reports 99.1% accuracy, and that verification is marked on every verified listing.
Can I sell my own designer menswear through Now From Then?
Yes — we work on consignment. You keep ownership until the piece sells, commission is 20% of the sold price with a HK$200 minimum, and anything unsold is returnable after three months. We don't buy inventory outright.
