How we measure

We measure pieces laid flat, in centimetres. To check the fit, lay something you own flat and measure it the same way.

Tops, jackets, dresses

Trousers, jeans, skirts

Shoulders: Seam to seam across the back
Chest: Underarm to underarm (pit to pit). Double it for the all-round size
Length: Tops: top of the back collar to the hem. Bottoms: top of the waistband to the hem
Sleeve: Shoulder seam to the end of the cuff
Waist: Straight across the waistband. Double it for the all-round size
Rise: Top of the waistband to the crotch seam
Inseam: Crotch seam to the hem
